What is New Day for Christians?

Are you looking for material for your study group? New Day for Christians has been designed to work with almost every type of group. The eight-session format makes it perfect for

  • Lenten study
  • a sermon series or small group discussion with Elders
  • an all-church Bible and mission study
  • small group studies for Sunday School classes, mission teams, outreach committees, and congregations seeking to become a Global Missions Congregation Global Ministries

New Day for Christians is effective for established small groups or new small groups—even as an opening meditation source.

New Day for Christians magazine offers a balance of biblical reflection, stories from those who have visited or worked with mission partners, and the connection that our congregations have to Christians making a difference in the lives of their communities in their daily walks of faith in North America and beyond.

Each copy of the magazine includes a personal-sized map that features a particular country of interest. There is also a Leader’s Guide (in print or digital formats) available to assist you in using the magazine in various group settings.

“Global Ministries, a common witness of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ, is grateful for the partnership that we share with Chalice Press in the New Day for Christians publication. We are excited about the continued and expanded opportunity of sharing the story of God's mission in a part of the world through this valuable resource . . . What a vibrant church with so many gifts to share with us! I know you will appreciate the stories, Bible studies and resources that you will find in this issue. Make sure you tell your friends and spread the word about this magazine. And thanks for your part in helping us Be a Global Mission Church!”
