Chalice Press Welcomes Deborah Arca as New Marketing and Sales Director

The Christian Board of Publication/Chalice Press is delighted to welcome Deborah Arca as the new Marketing and Sales Director.

Arca is the former Director of Content at Patheos, the largest religion and spirituality site on the web. In her seven years at Patheos, Arca oversaw the management and branding of the site’s content, including its cornerstone faith channels and hundreds of writers and bloggers, helping to grow the site to its highest traffic peak.

As the ongoing Progressive Christian Channel Manager at Patheos, Arca was responsible for launching and growing the Progressive Christian Channel to become the largest community of progressive Christian writers on the web. She also managed the Patheos Book Club, where she worked with publishers and authors to create compelling content and promotional packages to increase brand awareness and book sales.

“Deborah has extensive experience and connections in the religion media space, combined with years of recruiting, working with, and promoting writers and bloggers. She is an ideal fit for our ministry and our mission in the Christian publishing market,” said Brad Lyons, CBP President and Publisher.

Chalice Press, CBP Books, and TCP Books are the major imprints of the Christian Board of Publication.

“I’m extremely honored to join the Chalice team at this exciting time for the progressive Christian movement,” Arca said. “I look forward to joining their mission to lift up and amplify the important progressive voices that are changing the world, as well as continue to deliver the excellent resources they’re known for to inspire and equip the Church and its disciples in the world.”

Arca will be working remotely from her home in Westminster, CO, and can be reached at darca@chalicepress.com and 314-252-3212.

For more than a century, CBP has been the publishing house of the Stone-Campbell Movement that has evolved into the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
